Delivery & Shipping Information
Glass Blocks Direct deliver to mainland UK, Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands and Ireland. We also deliver across Europe and occasionally Internationally. If there is no shipping method upon checkout please contact us to arrange dispatch of goods. we offer 3 types of delivery:
- Express Delivery – Next working day delivery if the order is completed before noon on a working day. For example, if an order is placed at 11 am on Friday morning then the goods would be delivered on the following Monday. If the order is places at 1 pm on Friday afternoon then the goods would be delivered on the following Tuesday. *Please be aware some deliveries that are not mainland UK will be processed on a 2 day transit rather than a next day delivery, this is determined by the courier company not ourselves* If you have any questions then please give us a call on 01243790425 or email us at [email protected]. Deliveries can be made between 9am – 5pm unless otherwise organised or stated. If you require a special delivery request then this would need to be made in writing to the email on our website.
- Standard Delivery – 2 – 4 working days (if goods are in stock) please note sometimes we have a high volume of orders and delivery may run outside of this time frame. ** Please be aware some deliveries that are not mainland UK will take longer than 2 to 4 working days, this is determined by the courier company not ourselves. If you require a special delivery request then this would need to be made in writing to the email on our website or added as a note when placing the order.
- Special order delivery – 1 to 2 weeks (these orders are imported directly from SEVES Glass Block, please check the individual blocks pages for details) and will be delivered either via Pallet or Courier.
If your order contains a mix of standard and special order materials then the full order will be delivered when all materials become available. We will not split the orders and delivery separately. Please get in contact if you have any questions.
Please note that deliveries need to be signed for by someone at your property or a neighbor, if you request to leave a parcel or pallet in a safe location and it goes missing then we would not be accountable for the order.
Pallet orders will be delivered on either a 7.5 or 18 tonne vehicle. These vehicles require space to navigate, unload and turn. is access to the delivering location is problematic then please contact us before placing the order so we can organise alternative arrangements to ensure no delays in the delivery of your order. If we are not notified and the pallet order needs to be returned to the depot and re-delivered then this would be chargeable and we cannot accept liability for this situation.
Courier orders will be delivered on a ‘Sprinter’ sized van by DPD. Tracking details will be forwarded via email & mobile number (if provided) during the transit of your order. With DPD’s ‘Predict’ service there should be minimal issues whilst delivering. On the day of delivery the vehicle, with your order on, can be traced. This allows us to provide you with an hour time slot for delivery. This hour time slot will be sent via email or text message before 11am on the day of delivery. If you are unable to receive the delivery on a specific day then you can use the tracking dashboard to select a number of options including Deliver To A Neighbour, Change Delivery Address (within a certain radius) and Collect From Depot.
Due to the nature of the products we supply and the manual handing during the transportation period, unfortunately breakages can occur. With our packaging we try our best to minimise this but unfortunately, albeit very rarely, this does happen. If a damaged block(s) is received upon inspection of your order then you must notify us as soon as possible so we can investigate the damage caused. Providing the notification is within our terms and conditions of sale we will either replace the damaged materials or issue a refund, whichever you preferred. Please be careful when opening our packages as, if broken, small shards of glass could be close to the edge of the boxes when opening and we cannot take responsibility on injuries caused when opening our parcels.
