Fire rated glass blocks are designed to offer protection against both the fire itself, and offer an additional thermal barrier of 30, 60 or 90 minutes.
30-Minute FR blocks offer an EI30 classification.
60-Minute FR blocks offer an EI60 classification.
90-Minute FR blocks offer an EI90 classification.
Fire rated glass blocks are typically used in areas of escape that require a high thermal integrity, such as tower blocks, hospitals and public buildings where mass evacuations may be typical in the event of an emergency.
